There are several variables involved in making a truly fine cup of coffee, including starting with good beans, and using the purest water. This filter and coffeemaker ensures that the chlorine and mineral deposits frequently found in tap water are removed, resulting in better taste and longer life for your machine. Additionally Krups has developed a new brewing method which steeps the coffee grounds for a period of time, thereby producing a more full-bodied, flavorful pot. This model also offers a programmable timer so you don't have to fuss with scoops and buttons first thing in the morning. |

The best of both worlds! This machine combines a programmable coffeemaker with a pump espresso machine to suit your every coffee drink need. In a pump system a reservoir supplies the water while the pump supplies the brewing pressure. This model demonstrates the optimal pressure level of 15 bar. The Thermoblock system heats the water to approximately 195ºF. Upon activation of the pump, heated water flows through a screen in the brew head and is forced through the coffee contained in a finely perforated metal basket held by the porta-filter. In order to create the necessary resistance for good extraction, the coffee should be finely ground and evenly tamped. After brewing, the electric pump machine is ready to brew another "shot" of espresso. |
